How to Find a Stolen Android Phone

 Today I will teach you how to find the location of a stolen or lost Android phone. If you enabled Find My Device or Find My Mobile on your Android, you can use the online version of the service to track your Android's location. You can also check your Android's location history on Google Maps

YOU JUST NEED TO FOLLOW THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURES.

Using Find My Device for Android

 

Step 1.
Open the Find My Device website. Go to https://www.google.com/android/find in your browser.




Step 2.
Log into the website. Enter the email address and password for the Android that you want to find



Step 3.
Select your phone. Click your phone's name on the left side of the page. This will prompt Find My Device to begin searching for your Android's location


Step 4.
Review your phone's location. Once your Android's location is determined, it will display on-screen.
  • If your Android is off or doesn't have a cellular/Wi-Fi connection, its location won't appear.


Step 5.
Lock down your phone if necessary. If you want to prevent your Android's data from being recovered, you can lock it down by doing the following:
  • Click LOCK on the left side of the page.
  • Enter a password if prompted.
  • Enter a message and a recovery phone number if you like.
  • Click LOCK when prompted.

Using Find My Mobile for Samsung

 



Step 1.
Open the Find My Mobile website. Go to https://findmymobile.samsung.com/ in your browser.





Step 2.
Click SIGN IN. It's in the middle of the page. 
 
 
 
 
Step 3.
Enter your account login information. Type in your Samsung email address and password
 
 
 
 
Step 4.
Check the "I'm not a robot" box. It's near the bottom of the page. 
 
 
 
 
 
Step 5.
Click SIGN IN. Doing so will open a list of your Samsung phones and/or tablets.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Step 6.
Select your Samsung. Click the phone that you want to lock down to do so.
 
 
 
 
 
Step 7.
Review the Samsung Galaxy's location. Once the Samsung Galaxy's location loads, it will display in the middle of the page.
  • If your Samsung Galaxy is off or doesn't have a cellular/Wi-Fi connection, its location won't appear.
 
 
 
 
 
 

Step 8.
Lock down your Samsung. If you want to ensure that no one can access your Samsung's data, click LOCK MY DEVICE in the pop-up menu, then follow any on-screen instructions.
  • You may find this option on the left side of the page.
  • As a last-ditch way of protecting your data, you can erase your Samsung phone by selecting it, clicking WIPE MY DEVICE, and following the on-screen prompts. This will prevent you from being able to track it anymore.

Using Google Maps


Step 1.
Open Google Maps. Go to https://www.google.com/maps in your computer's web browser. This will open the Google Maps page.
  • If you aren't logged into your Google Account, click the blue Sign in button in the upper-right corner of the page, then enter the email address and password for the Google Account that you use on your Android.
  • If you aren't signed into the same account that you use on your Android, click the profile icon in the upper-right side of the page, click Add account, and sign into the proper account with your email address and password.


Step 2.
Click ☰. It's in the upper-left corner of the page. A pop-out menu will appear on the left side of the page.

Click Your timeline. This option is near the bottom of the pop-out menu. Doing so brings up the location history menu. 
 



Step 4.
Select a date. Click the YEAR box, click the current year, click the MONTH box, click the month, click the DAY box, and click the day on which your Android went missing.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Step 5.
Review the Android's location history. If your Android has been turned on and connected to cellular data and/or Wi-Fi, you should see at least one location listed on this page.
  • Keep in mind that you won't be able to see your Android's location history if the person who stole it turned off your Android.
 
 
Step 6.
Change the date if necessary. If your Android has been gone for more than one day, click the DAY box again and select the next day, then review the location history for that day.
